Mom's Birthday
Today is my mother's birthday. This photo was taken at her wedding to my father around 1956 or 7. She's dancing with my grandfather and the woman dancing to the left of my mom is her mother, my grandmother who is the only person in this photo still with us. My mother passed away in 1981 and she would have been 65 this year. Happy birthday, Mom, you are missed.
Coincidently, it's also Bill Hicks' birthday, the comedian who is the Virgil character in my novel, The Ghosts of Autumn. He was born this day in 1961, two years after I made my way into the world but also left it prematurely in 1994. Happy birthday, Bill, you are also missed.
