Barf ... Then Ice Cream

It looks like every member of the family is now afflicted. Porter ralphed up an entire fruit popsicle (raspberry). We saw it coming, got him off the sofa and to the bathroom where at the last second he pulled back and yakked right on the floor in front of the commode. Afterwards, Sarah brought out the barf bucket and showed Porter how to barf (which is the word we're teaching him) into it. His fake barf sound is surprisingly like his lion's roar. But he seemed to get the idea.

Another idea we'd used successfully was whenever he wanted something not ideal like, let's say a popsicle, we'd tell him first vegetables, then popsicle. Well Porter put his own spin on this idea in an effort to get himself some ice cream. He kept repeating, barf, then ice cream over and over again. We're not sure if he was offering that he'd barf if we'd then agree to give him some ice cream or was telling us that since he had barfed that he now deserved some ice cream. Whatever the case, he entreated us with barf, then ice cream literally dozens of times. He was most insistent. Needless to say, he did not get any ice cream.

He's now alseep, having thrown up two more times in the process. We started washing the sheets so he'll have clean extras, just in case. The last time we did this, it didn't go well.
