Some artwork Porter did at school last month came home with him today. The two themes running through all of them were either Irish themes or farm-related. I've concentrated on the rural Americana inspried pieces here. Because what could be more American than a farm. Never mind that huge agro-businesses produce virtually all the food consumed by Americans today, we still all picture the family farm like the one owned by Old McDonald when we envision what a farm looks like. It's like the making of sausage; the less we know, the better.
Old McPorter Had a Farm E-I-E-I-O
And on that farm, he had a sheep, a cow, a pig and a duck
And on that farm, he also had a rooster and a horse
