Lake Social

Porter and Alice's grandparents took them both for an outing at Lake Merritt in Oakland today. Both reportedly had a great time. Especially Porter, who is apparently playing with the other kids much more regularly. This is a huge advance for an autistic child and gives us even more hope.

Porter feeds the birds with some new friends.

Alice gets into the swing of things.

Porter plays amidst other kids and parents. This is not even his usual distance. Normally, he's too shy to be this close.

An older boy showed Porter how to climb this pole using the rope and then how to slide down the rope, fireman style.
