Porter's New Language/Social Therapy
Porter started a new language and play-based therapy today with Joanne, a therapist recommended to us by his teacher. She'll be coming to our home every Tuesday to work with Porter for an hour and a half. After she works with him one-on-one for a few sessions, they'll begin to employ what he's learned in social settings and try to integrate him toward playing more easily with other children his own age. He and Joanne seemed to get on very well and we're hopeful this will be one more piece of the puzzle to get him ready for entering a regular kindergarten in a llittle over two years.# posted by J @ Tuesday, May 10, 2005
