D-Day + 22,280
The original invasion took place at 6:30 a.m., 62 years ago or exactly 22,280 days ago. The kids celebrated by watching Pooh's Heffalump Movie for the umpteenth time. They both seemed happy to be back in familiar surroundings again. Sarah's grandfather Pappy, was a naval pilot during World War 2 and was a war hero who was the first flier to land a plane in the ocean, which he did during the Battle of Midway to save a fellow pilot who's plane had been downed, and then take off again.
