One Small Step For a Girl, One Giant Leap for the Family
Okay, so she's not Neil Armstrong, but for us it was still pretty momentous. For those of you who are regular readers of the blog, you'll know our little Alice has been very close to walking for some time now. She was kind enough to wait until we were both there this time (I missed Porter's first steps) and then, as we were waiting to board the airplane for home, she took her first steps and walked from a pole to a stroller, a distance of 4 to 5 steps, before sitting down again. Later that night, she repeated the feat just to show us it wasn't a fluke. I'll try to capture it on film as soon as I can.
