A Rainforest Reunion
After a hellish evening where Alice took two and a half hours to essentially scream herself to sleep (although Porter obliged us by falling asleep on the drive back from the boat), we had a late night dip in the hot tub (while Uncle Don watched the kids) and watched part of a movie to try and unwind the tension built up by Alice's vocal stirrings. Happily, everyone was in a good mood the next morning as we packed up and checked out early for the drive back to Seattle. Our flight wasn't until mid-afternoon, but we'd arranged with Christi to meet up for lunch at the Rainforest Cafe in Tukwila, a mere stone's throw from Sea-Tac Airport.
In a funny twist, we later found out that Pat discovered the lunch plan by reading the blog! He'd been out of town on a business trip and Christi hadn't had a chance to tell him before I'd posted it last week. I guess we can now consider the blog a news source, as well.
Anyway, it was great to see Porter and John reunited, they really seem to just click. Henry had a good time, too, but I think later in life Henry will be the one to get or keep the other two out of trouble. Henry will be one telling Porter and John "no, it's not a good idea to jump off the building" or "no, officer they were with me all last night."

The whole gang at the Rainforest Cafe, a pretty cool place for kids with jungle sounds and animatronic animals all over the place.

Sarah and Alice share a smile.

Henry, Porter and John watch in awe as the sparkler shines on top of our mountainous dessert.

Eventually, it was time to go and Porter and John (and their balloons ) said their goodbyes as we left the mall.
