Alice's New Icon
A new icon has been chosen for Alice; the Cheshire Cat, in honor of her big, charming smile. Plus, the character comes from Alice in Wonderland. Not to mention the cheshire cat has something of a michevious personality and tends to confound those who engage it in conversation, often with perplexing and pointless philosphical bon mots. The Wikipedia has some interesting information on the history of the Cheshire Cat.Other suggestions included a Cheerio, Rosie the Riveter and Barbie (though frankly the smoking, drinking skeleton logo from the band Social Distortion had a better shot than Barbie. Sarah once gave a speech for a class in college on the evils of Barbie. I have video of it.)
